Peter Ellis is a career chameleon. Starting out as a geologist and mapping remote hillsides in Portugal and Morocco, he then transmuted – via a brief spell in advertising – into a school Geography teacher. After fourteen years at the chalkface, Peter then trained at the London School of Printing to recast himself as a broadcast journalist. Five years and over fifty audio documentaries about the UK later, he underwent another transformation into an English teacher, working in Russia, Azerbaijan, Sudan and Iraq. He now lives in Kiev, Ukraine, and is currently enjoying a brief career break.
Philip Alderton was born in Australia, spending several years in Nuigini as a child. After graduating film school Philip moved to Los Angeles as a writer / director / photographer. His fashion photography has been published in three continents, and he is the writer/ director/ producer of Drop Dead Gorgeous, a dark comedy about fashion photography.
Penny Allsop was brought up in Ghana and the UK. She worked for 17 years at Amnesty International and then various other charities. She has also been running the SWIFF (South West London International Film Festival) since 2011. She lived in Egypt for one year, working for the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights.
Darcy Lawler has travelled to some pretty weird places and he once ate a squirrel. Darcy is currently living in Sydney and trying to figure a way of making a living without ever having to catch buses.
